Partial point cloud registration aims to transform partial scans into a common coordinate system. It is an important preprocessing step to generate complete 3D shapes. Although previous registration methods have made great progress in recent decades, traditional registration methods, such as Iterative Closest Point (ICP) and its variants, all these methods highly depend on the sufficient overlaps between two point clouds, because they cannot distinguish outlier correspondences. Note that the overlap between point clouds could always be small, which limits the application of these methods. To tackle this problem, we present a StrucTure-based OveRlap Matching (STORM) method for partial point cloud registration. In our method, an overlap prediction module with differentiable sampling is designed to detect points in overlap utilizing structure information, and facilitates exact partial correspondence generation, which is based on discriminative pointwise feature similarity. The pointwise features which contain effective structural information are extracted by graph-based methods. Experimental results and comparison with state-of-the-art methods demonstrate that STORM can achieve better performance. Moreover, most registration methods perform worse when the overlap ratio decreases, while STORM can still achieve satisfactory performance when the overlap ratio is small.

Purpose: To assess the efficacy of bolus injections of landiolol hydrochloride as premedication in coronary artery CT angiography (CCTA).
Methods: The study population consisted of 37 patients (17 female; median age, 56 years; IQR, 19 years; range, 19-88 years) who underwent CCTA after intravenous injection of landiolol hydrochloride due to a heart rate > 60 bpm. Landiolol hydrochloride was administered in a stepwise manner until a heart rate of ≤ 60 bpm was achieved or a maximum dose of 60 mg was reached after six injections.

This research used a modified and extended auxiliary mapping method to examine the optical soliton solutions of the truncated time M-fractional paraxial wave equation. We employed the truncated time M-fractional derivative to eliminate the fractional order in the governing model. The few optical wave examples of the paraxial wave condition can assume an insignificant part in depicting the elements of optical soliton arrangements in optics and photonics for the investigation of different actual cycles, including the engendering of light through optical frameworks like focal points, mirrors, and fiber optics.

Introduction: Accurate prognostication in comatose survivors of cardiac arrest is a challenging and high-stakes endeavor. We sought to determine whether internal EEG subparameters extracted by the Bispectral Index (BIS) monitor, a device commonly used to estimate depth-of-anesthesia intraoperatively, could be repurposed to predict recovery of consciousness after cardiac arrest.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we trained a 3-layer neural network to predict recovery of consciousness to the point of command following versus not based on 48 hours of continuous EEG recordings in 315 comatose patients admitted to a single US academic medical center after cardiac arrest (Derivation cohort: N=181; Validation cohort: N=134).
