To use electronic health record (EHR) data to develop a scalable and transferrable model to predict 6-month risk for diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)-related hospitalization or emergency care in youth with type 1 diabetes (T1D). To achieve a sharable predictive model, we engineered features using EHR data mapped to the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative's (T1DX-QI) data schema used by 60+ U.S.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study examined how varying amounts of cross-linked tapioca starch (CTS) or acetylated tapioca starch (ATS) affect the characteristics and properties of myofibrillar protein (MP) gels.
  • - Results indicated that both CTS and ATS improved gel strength and water retention in MP gels, with CTS showing superior results due to its higher viscosity and ability to create a smoother gel matrix.
  • - Molecular interactions between MP and modified tapioca starches, such as hydrophobic interactions and disulfide bonds, were key to transitioning the gel's continuous phase, enhancing the overall quality of meat products.

This work aimed to study the effect of defatting via the mixture of n-hexane and ethanol under different volume ratio on the changes of structural characteristics, functional properties and volatile compounds of Tenebrio molitor larvae protein (TMLP). The results showed that 1:0.6 vol ratio of n-hexane to ethanol rendered the highest defatting rate (P < 0.

Background And Objectives: Patch-Clamp recordings allow for in depth electrophysiological characterization of single cells, their general biophysical properties as well as characteristics of voltage- and ligand-gated ionic currents. Different acquisition modes, such as whole-cell patch-clamp recordings in the current or voltage clamp configuration, capacitance measurements or single channel recordings from cultured cells as well as acute brain slices are routinely performed for these purposes. Nevertheless, multipurpose transparent and adaptable software tools to perform reproducible state-of-the-art analysis of multiple experiment types and to manage larger sets of experimental data are currently unavailable.
