Rubidium cation (Rb ) addition is witnessed to play a pivotal role in boosting the comprehensive performance of organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells. However, the origin of such success derived from irreplaceable superiorities brought by Rb remains ambiguous. Herein, grain-boundary-including atomic models are adopted for the accurate theoretical analysis of practical Rb distribution in perovskite structures. The spatial distribution, covering both the grain interiors and boundaries, is thoroughly identified by virtue of synchrotron-based grazing-incidence X-ray diffraction. On this basis, the prominent elevation of the halogen vacancy formation energy, improved charge-carrier dynamics, and the electronic passivation mechanism in the grain interior are expounded. As evidenced by the increased energy barrier and suppressed microcurrent, the critical role of Rb addition in blocking the diffusion pathway along grain boundaries, inhibiting halide phase segregation, and eventually enhancing intrinsic stability is elucidated. Hence, the linkage avalanche effect of occupied location dominated by subtle changes in Rb concentration on electronic defects, ion migration, and phase stability is completely investigated in detail, shedding a new light on the advancement of high-efficiency cascade-incorporating strategies and perovskite compositional engineering.

The stability of perovskite quantum dot solar cells is one of the key challenges of this technology. This study reveals the unique degradation behavior of cesium lead triiodide (CsPbI) quantum dot solar cells. For the first time, it is shown that the oxygen-induced degradation and performance loss of CsPbI quantum dot photovoltaic devices can be reversed by exposing the degraded samples to humidity, allowing the performance to recover and even surpass the initial performance.

Currently, the development of polymeric hole-transporting materials (HTMs) lags behind that of small-molecule HTMs in inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs). A critical challenge is that conventional polymeric HTMs are incapable of forming ultra-thin and conformal coatings like self-assembly monolayers (SAMs), especially for substrates with rough surface morphology. Herein, we address this challenge by designing anchorable polymeric HTMs (CP1 to CP5).

The addition of organic cationic iodides to form low-dimensional perovskite is an essential strategy for defect passivation in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Specially, the 2D/3D perovskite structure can combine the stability of 2D perovskite and the high charge transport performance of 3D perovskite. Here, we introduced phenylammonium hydroiodide salts with different alkyl chain lengths into PSCs precursor solution to research the influence on formation of perovskite thin films and the photovoltaic performance of PSCs.

Density functional theory (DFT) combined with the Viennasimulation package (VASP) was used to investigate the electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of one-dimensional stanene nanoribbons (SnNRs) and Na, Mg, and Al-adsorbed SnNRs. The SnNRs, with a width of 10 Sn atoms and hydrogen-passivated edges, retained their hexagonal honeycomb structure after structural optimization. Both pristine and adsorbed SnNRs exhibit narrow band gap semiconducting behavior, with pristine SnNRs being non-magnetic and adsorbed SnNRs showing non-zero magnetic moments.

This work presents the design, fabrication, and rigorous validation of a flexible, wireless, capacitive pressure sensor for the full-range continuous monitoring of ventricular pressure. The proposed system consists of an implantable set and an external readout device; both modules were designed to form an RCL resonant circuit for passive, wireless pressure sensing and signal retrieving. Using surface micromachining and flexible electronics techniques, a two-variable capacitor array and a dual-layer planar coil were integrated into a flexible ergonomic substrate, avoiding hybrid-like connections in the implantable set.
