Background: Inadequate bowel perfusion is among risk factors for colorectal anastomotic leaks. Perfusion can be assessed with indocyanine green fluorescence angiography (ICG) during colon resections. Possible benefits from its systematic use in high-risk patients with rectal cancer remain inconsistent.

Backgrounds/aims: Liver transplantation (LT) is now a critical, life-saving treatment for patients with liver cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma. Despite its significant benefits, biliary complications (BCs) continue to be a major cause of postoperative morbidity. This study evaluates the fluorescence intensity (FI) of the common bile duct (CBD) utilizing near-infrared indocyanine green (ICG) imaging, and examines its association with the incidence of BCs within three months post-LT.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and safety of indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence as an alternative to traditional sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) techniques in breast cancer (BC) patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Specifically, the study aimed to assess sentinel node identification rates and the effectiveness of ICG in axillary staging without the use of radioactive tracers.
Methods: This retrospective study included 71 BC patients treated with NAC, who underwent SLNB using ICG fluorescence between 2020 and 2024.

Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is a serious parasitic infectious disease that is highly invasive and destructive to the liver and has a high mortality rate. However, currently, there is no effective targeted imaging and treatment method for the precise detection and therapy of AE. We proposed a new two-step targeting strategy (TSTS) for AE based on poly(lactic--glycolic acid) (PLGA).

Background: Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging technology is increasingly widely used in laparoscopic hepatectomy. However, previous studies have produced conflicting results regarding whether it is truly superior to traditional laparoscopic hepatectomy. This study investigated the clinical effect of laparoscopic hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using ICG imaging technology.
