Background: The perforating cutaneous nerve/perforating nerve of the sacrotuberous ligament is rarely observed. It usually arises from the posterior division of the sacral plexus or the pudendal nerve and perforates the sacrotuberous ligament. The anatomy of this nerve and its variants is poorly described in the literature, but there are data indicating its role in pudendal neuralgia.
Materials And Methods: Herein, we present an anatomical study of six formalin-fixed cadavers with descriptions of the topography of spinal nerves S2-S4, the pudendal bundle, the perforating cutaneous nerve and the sacrotuberous ligament.
Results: We found three perforating cutaneous nerves and described each of them in detail, with measurements of length and width, and point of perforation of the sacrotuberous ligament.
Conclusions: We distinguished three types of perforating cutaneous nerve on the basis of our findings and previous publications; two of the three types were observed in our study.

Background: Soft tissue defects on the palm side of the thumb can be effectively covered by using the radial midpalmar (RMP) flap, which is usually harvested as a pedicled flap. Background: The main technique for identification of free flap perforator vessels is Doppler sonography, which is not always accurate, user dependent and affected by the patient's body habitus.
Methods: Adult patients undergoing head and neck resection and free flap reconstruction at two academic institutions were enrolled. Doppler sonography was used to identify perforators, and were marked using a skin marker.

Purpose: The main objective of this study was to conduct a radioanatomical study of the osteo-myo-cutaneous scapulo-dorsal pedicled flap.
Methods: A radiological study was performed to study the anatomical variations of the dorsal scapular pedicle (origin, course of the deep branch of the dorsal scapular artery (DSA) in relation to the medial border of the scapula, perforators from the superficial branch of the DSA). Perforators from the superficial branch of the DSA were also identified on anatomical subjects, and their cutaneous vascular territory was determined.

The keystone design perforator island flap (KDPIF) was first described by Behan in 2003 as a pliable flap, suitable for all body areas thanks to its curvilinear shape, which made it apt to fit mostly all cutaneous defects. In this article, we aim to share our experience using KDPIF for the reconstruction of different defects. A retrospective analysis of patients who underwent cutaneous excision after trauma or tumor resection and reconstruction with a KDPIF at our department from 2020 to 2023 was performed.
