Acrometastasis is a rare clinical entity, estimated to represent less than 0.3% of all bone metastases. Here, we present a case of esophageal cancer that was treated with esophagectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy and developed oligometastases of the foot after 8 years in remission. The patient developed pain and swelling in his left ankle and foot as the presenting symptom. He underwent radiography and MRI of the affected area, which revealed the lesion. A 99mTc-MDP whole-body bone scan did not reveal any other sites of metastasis.

Purpose: Fewer attendances for radiation therapy results in increased efficiency and less foot traffic within a radiation therapy department. We investigated outcomes after single-fraction (SF) stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in patients with oligometastatic disease.
Methods And Materials: Between February 2010 and June 2019, patients who received SF SBRT to 1 to 5 sites of oligometastatic disease were included in this retrospective study.
