Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic caused major changes in the lifestyle and in the access to health services worldwide. Progressive multiple sclerosis (pMS) patients are a vulnerable population at high risk of disability worsening.
Objective And Methods: The objective of this study was to assess the health outcomes of COVID-19 lockdown in a cohort of 225 pMS patients.
Results: Worsening of neurological disability (19.7%) and fatigue (32.4%), depression (30.4%), and weight increase (28.3%) were observed in pMS patients during lockdown, along with discontinuation of regular physical exercise (47.1%) and of physical therapy (59.3%).
Conclusion: These results highlight the adverse impact, on pMS patients, of the public health measures implemented for the containment of the pandemic.

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a promising minimally invasive technique for the treatment of pancreatic lesions. This review first focuses on the technical aspects in EUS-RFA: the procedure typically employs EUS probes with integrated radiofrequency electrodes, enabling accurate targeting and ablation of pancreatic lesions. Different types of RFA devices, monopolar and bipolar energy delivery systems, are discussed, along with considerations for optimal ablation, including energy settings, procedure time, and pre- and post-procedural management.

Despite significant efforts, there is still an existing need to identify diagnostic tools that would enable fast and reliable detection of the progressive stage of multiple sclerosis (MS) and help in monitoring the disease course and/or treatment effects. The aim of this prospective study in a group of people with progressive MS was to determine whether changes in the levels of selected serum biomarkers and in cognitive function may predict disease progression, and therefore refine the decision-making process in the evaluation of MS patients. Forty two (42) patients with progressive MS completed all the study procedures; the mean duration of follow-up was 12.

Background: Menstrual health is critical for women of reproductive age. It is also evident that menstrual disorders have contributed to the increasing burden of non-communicable diseases.
Objective: To our knowledge, no literature review explicitly addresses the prevalence, risk factors, and health-seeking behaviour of menstrual disorders in India.

To assess the efficacy of using a nylon suture as a stent in the PreserFlo MicroShunt (PMS) lumen to prevent postoperative hypotony, 59 eyes that underwent PMS implantation with follow-up for > 6 months were analyzed. Patients were divided into no intrastenting (NST) and intrastenting (ST) groups, with the ST group subdivided into 9 - 0 nylon suture fully placed (9 F), 9 - 0 nylon suture placement in only half of the lumen (9 H), 10 - 0 nylon suture fully placed (10 F), and 10 - 0 nylon suture placement in only half of the lumen (10 H). The distribution was as follows: 23 eyes in the NST group, 10 in the 9 F group, 9 in the 9 H group, 11 in the 10 F group, and 6 in the 10 H group.
