Pseudoaneurysm of the common carotid artery (CCA) is exceptionally unstable and unpredictable; it mandates quick medical attention in order to circumvent neurologic sequelae or hemorrhage. Unanticipated rupture is extremely lethal and a potential provocation for the anesthesia caregiver. It is an arduous challenge for an anesthetist to establish emergency airway when a huge bleeding pseudoaneurysm is compressing and deviating the trachea, securing invasive lines in collapsing vessels, volume and vasopressor resuscitation in deteriorating hemodynamics in order to maintain cerebral perfusion without compromising other vital organs, arranging huge amount of blood and blood products in a short span of time, and transferring an exsanguinating patient for the rapid institution of cardiopulmonary bypass. Not only preoperatively it also necessitates appropriate neuromonitoring and neuroprotection during and after surgery. The association of unforeseen rupture of common carotid artery pseudoaneurysm secondary to the tubercular spine and lifesaving management by the rapid institution of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) is a rare occasion. To the best of the authors' knowledge, there is not any similar case in the peer-reviewed literature. Therefore, the authors enumerate the clinical experience of an unexpected rupture of CCA pseudoaneurysm requiring lifesaving CPB and emphasize the "Timely Teamed Effort Approach" that can sustain a life in such an inevitable situation.

Objectives: Artificial intelligence (AI) software including Brainomix "e-CTA" which detect large vessel occlusions (LVO) have clinical potential. We hypothesised that in real world use where prevalence is low, its clinical utility may be overstated.
Methods: In this single centre retrospective service evaluation project, data sent to Brainomix from a medium size acute National Health Service (NHS) Trust hospital between 1/3/2022-1/3/2023 was reviewed.

A 69-year-old man with chest pain was diagnosed with acute type B aortic dissection with the entry tear located at distal arch and a distal aortic arch aneurysm. Therefore, we performed debranching thoracic endovascular aortic repair 2 weeks after type B aortic dissection onset. First, the graft was anastomosed to bilateral axillary arteries.

Objective: To explore the anatomical and clinical factors that affect the radiographic exposure time in radial artery cerebral angiography and to establish a model.
Method: A total of 210 patients who underwent radial artery cerebral angiography at this center from September 2021 to May 2022 were selected, and their anatomical and clinical factors were analyzed to evaluate the correlation between these factors and the duration of radiographic exposure. A related neural network prediction model was established.

Purpose: To describe a case of short common trunk of the occipital artery (OA) and ascending pharyngeal artery (APA) arising from the internal carotid artery (ICA).
Methods: A 36-year-old woman with a history of surgical resection of a right lateral ventricular meningioma and atheromatous plaque of the right ICA underwent cranial magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and MR angiography of the head and neck region with a 3-Tesla scanner.
Results: MR angiography of the neck region showed a small atheromatous plaque at the origin of the right ICA and an anomalous artery arising from the posteromedial aspect of the right ICA at the distal end of the carotid bulb.

Background: Contrary to the common belief, the most commonly used laboratory C57BL/6J mouse inbred strain presents a distinctive genetic and phenotypic variability, and for several traits, the genotype-phenotype link remains still unknown. Recently, we characterized the most important stroke survival factor such as brain collateral plasticity in 2 brain ischemia C57BL/6J mouse models (bilateral common carotid artery stenosis and middle cerebral artery occlusion) and observed a Mendelian-like fashion of inheritance of the posterior communicating artery (PcomA) patency. Interestingly, a copy number variant (CNV) spanning locus was reported to segregate in an analogous Mendelian-like pattern in the C57BL/6J colonies of the Jackson Laboratory.
