Objective: This study assessed the cost-effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation compared with percutaneous ethanol injection in patients with early hepatocellular carcinoma in relation to the objective response rate and costs related to the procedure.
Methods: This was a prospective single-center randomized trial. The primary outcome was cost-effectiveness.

Background: The emergence of zero echo time (ZTE) imaging has transformed bone imaging, overcoming historical limitations in capturing detailed bone structures. By minimizing the time gap between radiofrequency excitation and data acquisition, ZTE generates CT-like images. While ZTE has shown promise in various applications, its potential in assessing skull base and calvarium lesions remains unexplored.

Objective: Ultrasound-guided tibial nerve pulsed radiofrequency (US-guided TN PRF) and fluoroscopy-guided intralesional radiofrequency thermocoagulation (FL-guided intralesional RFT) adjacent to the painful calcaneal spur are two interventions for pain management in painful calcaneal spur and plantar fasciitis. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the two procedures.
Design: A prospective, randomized, single-blind study.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of cancer induces an anti-tumor immunity, which is insufficient to prevent recurrences. In mice, RFA-intratumoral immunotherapy by granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and Bacillus Calmette-Guerin resulted in complete metastases regression. Infectious risk in human needs replacement of live vaccines.

It has been recently established that laser treatment can be combined with topical or intralesional medications to enhance the delivery of drugs and improve overall results in a variety of different dermatological disorders. The aim of this review is to evaluate the use of laser and energy-assisted drug delivery (LEADD) for the treatment of alopecia with a specific focus on ablative fractional lasers (AFL), non-ablative fractional lasers (NAFL), and radiofrequency microneedling (RFMN). A comprehensive PubMed search was performed in December 2022 for "laser-assisted drug delivery" as well as "laser" and "alopecia.
