In Navier-Stokes turbulence, energy and helicity injected at large scales are subject to a joint direct cascade, with both quantities exhibiting a spectral scaling ∝k^{-5/3}. We demonstrate via direct numerical simulations that the two cascades are compatible due to the existence of a strong scale-dependent phase alignment between velocity and vorticity fluctuations, with the phase alignment angle scaling as cosα_{k}∝k^{-1}.

In this study, we worked at the CCSD/aug-cc-pVTZ level to obtain the conformers of glycine in its neutral and zwitterionic forms in the gas and water phases. We then computed the NMR properties (spin-spin coupling constants and nuclear magnetic shieldings) at the SOPPA/aug-cc-pVTZ-J level. We attempt to elucidate the apparent discrepancy arising from two previous works by Valverde et al.

Background: To promote caregiver health and reduce burden, the Savvy Caregiver Program (SCP), an evidence-based caregiving intervention, was adapted with a Native Hawaiian (NH) community in Hawai'i. The adaptation process occurred prior to pilot testing in two phases: 1) the preliminary adaptation by a community action board (CAB) and mentorship team and 2) pre-pilot testing and expert validation with NH adults. The preliminary adaptation, titled 'Auamo Kuleana O Nā Ma'i Poina ('Auamo Kuleana), aimed to include Hawaiian values, language, proverbs, and culturally relevant examples while maintaining the core components of the program.

Background: The rising demand for alternative dementia assessments, fueled by healthcare workforce shortages and the growing population of individuals affected with dementia, necessitates innovative approaches to address accessibility, logistics, and diverse populations. The utilization of robots in cognitive assessments emerges as a promising solution, promising efficiency and engagement, while navigating the complex landscape of dementia care challenges.
Method: Existing cognitive assessment tools were examined to develop a humanoid robot to deliver cognitive assessment.

Background: The success of therapeutic options for treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and the growing emphasis for such treatment to commence in the pre-clinical phase makes it necessary to have robust empirical models of clinical disease progression to understand findings from clinical trials, allow clinicians to evaluate effects of new drugs, and to select individuals for future trials. Such models have been developed from relatively small samples, with incomplete data/substantial loss to follow-up. The ADOPIC consortium provides the largest complete AD natural history sample to date.
