Working Group Biomimetics, Faculty of Applied Informatics, Technology Campus Freyung, Deggendorf Institute of Technology, Grafenauer Str. 22, Freyung, Bayern, 94078, GERMANY.

Biomimetics as the transdisciplinary field leveraging biologically inspired solutions for technical and practical challenges has gained traction in recent decades. Despite its potential for innovation, the complexity of its process requires a deeper understanding of underlying tasks, leading to the development of various tools to aid this process. This study identified an inventory of 104 tools used in biomimetics, of which 24 have been classified as fully accessible, functional, and ready-to-use biomimetic tools.

In hybrid systems where nanowires are proximity-coupled with superconductors, the low-energy theory fails to determine the topological phase with Majorana fermion (MF) when the magnetic field or proximity coupling is much stronger. To overcome this limitation, we propose a holistic approach that defines MF by considering both the motion of electrons in the nanowire and the quasiparticle excitations in the superconductor. This approach transcends the constraints of low-energy theory and offers broad applicability.

Purpose: This research aims to identify the problems and needs of families of children with reading difficulties, develop an Integrated Process-Based Family Education Program (IPMD-F) to address these needs, and implement it.

Methods: The study used a community-based participatory action research approach, following a four-stage process: general information collection, needs identification and action plan creation, development and implementation of the IPMD-F, and evaluation. Conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year in Ankara, Turkey, with 16 volunteer parents of children diagnosed with learning disabilities, data were collected using qualitative and quantitative tools.

Introduction: Recovery community centers (RCCs) offer various support services to people in addiction recovery, such as hosting mutual help meetings and sober social activities and providing employment support and recovery coaching. To date, very little is known about RCCs and their relationship with recovery outcomes, as well as how RCCs may vary in helpfulness from visit to visit. This study used a daily diary approach to assess the intraindividual variation of daily RCC helpfulness, and whether RCC helpfulness predicted the holistic recovery indices of daily meaningfulness and recovery identity.
