In this study, we report on an orthogonal strategy for the precise synthesis of 3,3'-, 3,4'-, and 3,6'-phenylpropanoid sucrose esters (PSEs). The strategy relies on carefully selected protecting groups and deprotecting agents, taking into consideration the reactivity of the four free hydroxyl groups of the key starting material: di-isopropylidene sucrose . The synthetic strategy is general, and potentially applies to the preparation of many natural and unnatural PSEs, especially those substituted at 3-, 3'-, 4'- and 6'-positions of PSEs.

Mitochondrial 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA synthase 2 (HMGCS2) deficiency is a rare, potentially life-threatening autosomal recessive disorder resulting from mutations in the HMGCS2 gene, leading to impaired ketogenesis. We systematically reviewed the clinical presentations, biochemical and genetic abnormalities in 93 reported cases and 2 new patients diagnosed based on biochemical findings. Reported onset ages ranged from 3 months to 6 years, mostly before the age of 3.

Beta - stimulant, that is, β - adrenergic stimulant, also known as β - agonists, is bioactive catecholamine compounds naturally produced in animals' adrenal medulla glands that induce relaxation in asthmatic airway smooth muscles upon inhalation while also temporarily boosting athletic alertness and alleviating fatigue. However, their potential for dependency poses health risks including unnoticed exacerbation leading to severe illness or fatality prompting their inclusion on WADA's prohibited substances list.
