A cornu cutaneum (CC) is a rare lesion. This case report describes a 63-year-old woman with a giant CC lesion on her right hip arising from a hypertrophic burn scar at its base. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first case described in the literature of a CC that developed from a burn scar.

Aims: This study explores the potential of neuromodulation, specifically transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), as a promising rehabilitative therapy in spinal cord injury (SCI).
Main Methods: By meticulously optimizing treatment parameters and durations, our objective was to enhance nerve regeneration and facilitate functional recovery. To assess the efficacy of tACS, our experiments used the rat T10 SCI model.

The self-assembled peptide RADA16-I (RADARADARADARADA) has been widely used in biomaterials. However, studies on the practical application of self-assembled peptide hydrogels loaded with bioactive peptides are still insufficient. In this study, we successfully prepared the peptide nanofiber gel RGJ by incorporating the bioactive peptides A8SGLP-1 (G) and Jagged-1 (J) into RADA16-I (R) in specific ratios.

The etiology of hypertrophic scar formation continues to elude researchers, despite advancements in the understanding of skin scarring. Several long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been implicated in the pathogenesis of hypertrophic scars, yet the role and molecular mechanisms of LINC00525 in this process remain unclear. This study demonstrates that LINC00525 enhances cell proliferation and collagen expression through knockdown and overexpression techniques.

Beveled skin incision was proposed 30 years back to improve scar outcome. But we could not find any existing literature that studied the outcomes of beveled excision in a non-hair-bearing skin objectively. Twenty-eight patients undergoing skin excision during various aesthetic procedures were divided equally into two groups.

Introduction: The Brisbane Burn Scar Impact Profile (BBSIP) and the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) are used in burn scar assessment to quantify patient health-related quality of life (HR-QoL). These questionnaires were developed using pen-and-paper delivery methods; however, there is a push towards electronic delivery of these questionnaires in both clinical practice and research. Equivalence testing is required to ensure that validity of these paper questionnaires is maintained electronically.
