This technique carries a high risk of pharyngolaryngeal injury due to frequent head and neck movements during intraoperative maneuvers and prolonged intubation, although the details remain unclear. This study explored the frequency and causes of postoperative pharyngeal complications following maxillary translocation.

We report the case of a 56-year-old woman with a long-standing right upper neck swelling and a recent-onset swelling over the left side of the scalp. Clinical workup did not reveal any other tumor deposits in the body.
