Healthcare simulation has gained global recognition in health professions education, yet its adoption in Pakistan, a lower-middle-income country (LMIC), remains limited. This scoping review aimed to explore how simulation is integrated into healthcare education in Pakistan, highlighting challenges and opportunities to inform similar LMICs. Pakistan serves as a critical case study for LMICs due to its unique challenges, including uneven access to simulation technologies and limited faculty training, which are shared by many similar resource-constrained settings.

Background: Hybrid emergency rooms (ERs) allow computed tomography (CT) scanning, interventional radiology, and surgery all in the same suite. Severe trauma patients with blunt thoracic aortic injury (BTAI) require rapid diagnosis and treatment. Hybrid ERs allow the potential for clinicians to implement multiple therapeutic procedures, including thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), for these types of conditions without the need to transport the patients.

Evolving technologies including handheld devices, upgraded image quality, and the ability to transmit over low bandwidth connections increase POCUS education, accessibility, and clinical integration. Potential teleultrasound venues include low-resource settings, prehospital care, and austere environments (high altitudes, microgravity, conflict zones, etc.

Background: Psychosocial screening is a valuable part of the assessment of patients with orofacial pain, as psychosocial factors will affect prognosis and treatment outcomes. Paper-based questionnaires are predominately used to assess the degree of psychosocial comorbidity; however, digital alternatives for screening questionnaires may be more cost-effective and resource-saving if patients are receptive to using them.
Objective: To evaluate how patients perceive digital psychosocial screening in dentistry.
