Silicosis is emerging as a rapidly progressing occupational disease among young workers who fabricate and install artificial stone. Artificial stone is a composite material characterized by high levels of crystalline silica. Recent research has demonstrated high levels of crystalline silica exposures, particularly during dry cutting and finishing tasks, and an association between exposure intensity and duration and adverse respiratory outcomes. Occupational hygienists must move forward with development and implementation of control strategies, with consideration for the conditions of artificial stone work that may make control implementation challenging.

Ornithopod dinosaurs appeared during the Middle Jurassic, but it was in the Lower Cretaceous they started their successful evolutionary history. Different phylogenies describing the evolutionary relationships of Ornithopoda are mostly based on cranial features, however there is a lack of well-preserved and complete skulls for the basal member of the clade, hampering our knowledge on the mode and tempo of these herbivorous dinosaurs. Here we describe YLSNHM 01942, a well-preserved skull of a juvenile neornithischian from the Liaoning Province of China.

Background: The fabrication and installation of artificial (engineered) stone countertops is a relatively new cause of silicosis. Our aim was to investigate silicosis rates in Victoria, Australia, and the association with stone countertop industry work.
Methods: Workers' compensation claims for silicosis from January 1, 1991 to December 31, 2022 were analyzed across 8-year time periods.

In the North Sea, offshore oil and gas (O&G) platforms must be totally removed through decommissioning at the end of their productive life. However, the role of O&G platforms in marine ecosystems, especially for fish assemblages, is not well enough defined yet. Here, we document the association between an O&G platform in the North Sea and the fish assemblages along a distance gradient of 1-600 m from the platform.

Statement Of Problem: Intraoral scans can be articulated in maximum intercuspal position (MIP) by using an artificial intelligence (AI) based program; however, the impact of edentulous areas on the accuracy of the MIP located using this AI-based program is unknown.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to assess the impact of edentulous areas (0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 posterior mandibular teeth) on the accuracy of the MIP located using 3 intraoral scanners (IOSs) and an AI-based program.
Material And Methods: Stone casts articulated in MIP in an articulator were digitized (T710).

Gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) is the most common malignant tumor of biliary tract, with poor prognosis due to its aggressive nature and limited therapeutic options. Early detection of GBC is a major challenge, with most GBCs being detected accidentally during cholecystectomy procedures for gallbladder stones. This letter comments on the recent article by Deqing in the , which summarized the various current methods used in early diagnosis of GBC, including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) examination of the gallbladder for high-risk GBC patients, and the use of EUS-guided elastography, contrast-enhanced EUS, trans-papillary biopsy, natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery, magnifying endoscopy, choledochoscopy, and confocal laser endomicroscopy when necessary for early diagnosis of GBC.
