Unlabelled: Self-control is always crucial in many areas of life. Therefore, self-control failure is the source of many of the difficulties people face in their lives and also at the center of several problems, especially among adolescents. In this regard, the purpose of the study was to examine the mediating role of multi-screen addiction (MSA) in the relationship between self-control and procrastination among adolescents by using structural equation modeling (SEM). A cross-sectional design and an online questionnaire was used in this study. The study group composed of 390 adolescents studying at various high schools in Turkey. The results of correlation analysis showed that self-control was negatively correlated with MSA and procrastination. MSA also positively correlated with procrastination. Furthermore, the findings showed that MSA mediated the relationship between self-control and procrastination. The fit index of the SEM was found to be satisfactory. The results of the study were addressed in the context of the existing literature, and then suggestions were presented.

Individuals who struggle to regulate their gaming involvement, particularly those with gaming disorder, often report strong subjective urges to play games. Desire thinking has been proposed to be an active driver of urge, and therefore disrupting desire thinking processes may reduce urges to play. Detached mindfulness, a meta-cognitive therapy technique, is a candidate option for reducing desire thinking, but the available research in relation to gaming is limited.

The western Indian continental shelf (eastern Arabian Sea) exhibits contrasting biogeochemical features. This area becomes highly productive due to summer monsoon-driven coastal upwelling in the south and winter monsoon-induced convective mixing in the north. Additionally, in the northern self, the eastern boundary of the Oxygen Minimum Zone (OMZ) persists but is absent in the south.

Prior work highlighted that procrastination and impulsivity shared a common neuroanatomical basis in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, implying a tight relationship between these traits. However, theorists hold that procrastination is motivated by avoiding aversiveness, while impulsivity is driven by approaching immediate pleasure. Hence, exploring the common and distinct neural basis underlying procrastination and impulsivity through functional neuroimaging becomes imperative.

Smartphone overdependence is a maladaptive behavior characterized by excessive and uncontrollable smartphone use despite negative consequences. Impulsivity and emotional dysregulation, which are multidimensional constructs with each factor exerting a different effect, have been found to influence the development and persistence of smartphone overdependence. This study utilized network analysis to investigate the intricate relationships between the factors of impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, and smartphone overdependence.
