Background: Astroblastoma is an extremely rare tumor of the central nervous system, and its origin and validity as a different entity are still being debated. Because of its rarity and similarities to other glial neoplasms, it is often misdiagnosed, impacting treatment and outcomes.
Observations: Astroblastoma is very rare and mainly affects children and young adults.

Three new manganese compounds on 5-(pyridin-2-yl)-3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazole (L) basis (HL)[MnBr]·HO (1), (HL)[MnCl] (2) and [MnLCl]·HO (3) have been synthesized and characterized in terms of their structure, photoluminescence (PL), and electroluminescence (EL) properties. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibit bright green luminescence ( ≈ 550 nm) with high quantum yields of 75.1 and 71.

Rapid weight gain in infancy is associated with an increased risk of later adiposity. Very rarely, however, exclusively breastfed infants experience excessive weight gain (EWG) during the period of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) when breast milk is the only source of nutrition. We investigated growth and body composition at 36 months in children experiencing EWG during EBF.

Enriching the structural diversity of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) is of great importance in developing functional porous materials with specific properties. New MOF structures can be accessed through the rational design of organic linkers with diverse geometric conformations, and their structural complexity can be enhanced by choosing linkers with reduced symmetry. Herein, a series of Zr-based MOFs with unprecedented topologies were developed through a linker desymmetrization and conformation engineering approach.

We present the case of a 62-year-old woman who, during routine gastroscopy for the study of pyrosis, presented findings compatible with esophagitis dissecans superficialis. This is a rare esophageal desquamation disorder of unknown etiology, which generally has a favorable prognosis and good response to antisecretory treatment.
