This study aimed to determine the influence of injection of polysaccharide on growth, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, carcasses, hematology, and blood metabolites in Cobb 500 chicks. At the 7th day of incubation, a total of 250 eggs were randomly divided into five groups with 5 replications of 10 eggs of each: negative control (normal eggs), positive control (0.5 mL saline), 1.5 mg , 3.0 mg , and 4.5 mg injection. Live body weight and gain were not significantly (linear and quadratic) affected by injection of . Kidney and liver functions were influenced by injection of polysaccharides in broiler chickens. Antioxidant enzymes were quadratically increased with polysaccharides, and the highest values achieved with 4.5 mg. The MDA concentration was linearly and quadratically decreased with injection of polysaccharides when compared to negative control. The highest values of IgG and IgM were achieved with 1.5 mg polysaccharides when compared to all other groups. In conclusion, our results indicate that injection of polysaccharides 1.5-4.5 mg in broiler eggs significantly improved serum ALT, AST, AP, creatinine enzymes, antioxidant activity, and immune function.

Purpose: The main purpose of the study was the formulation development of nanogels (NHs) composed of chondroitin sulfate (CS) and low molecular weight chitosan (lCH), loaded with a naringenin-β-cyclodextrin complex (NAR/β-CD), as a potential treatment for early-stage diabetic retinopathy.
Methods: Different formulations of NHs were prepared by varying polymer concentration, lCH ratio, and pH and, then, characterized for particle size, zeta potential, particle concentration (particles/mL) and morphology. Cytotoxicity and internalization were assessed in vitro using Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC).

Intratumoral drug delivery systems hold immense promise in overcoming the limitations of conventional IV chemotherapy, particularly in enhancing therapeutic efficacy and minimizing systemic side effects. In this study, we introduce a novel redox-responsive intratumoral nanogel system that combines the biocompatibility of natural polysaccharides with the tailored properties of synthetic polymers. The nanogel features a unique cross-linked architecture incorporating redox-sensitive segments, designed to leverage the elevated glutathione levels in the tumor microenvironment for controlled drug release.

Background: Sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE) often results from neuroinflammation. Recent studies have shown that brain platelet-derived growth factor receptor β (PDGFRβ) cells, including pericytes, may act as early sensors of infection by secreting monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), which transmits inflammatory signals to the central nervous system. The erythroblast transformation-specific (ETS) transcription factor Friend leukemia virus integration 1 (Fli-1) plays a critical role in inflammation by regulating the expression of key cytokines, including MCP-1.

Bee venom (BV) and its main compound melittin (MLT) have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging activities; however, very little research has been conducted on their effects on skin aging. In this study, a mouse skin aging model induced by D-galactose was constructed via subcutaneous injection into the scruff of the neck, and different doses of BV and MLT were used as interventions. The anti-aging effects and mechanisms of BV and MLT were explored by detecting the skin morphology and structure, and anti-aging-related factors and performing non-targeted metabolomics of mice.

Provoked vulvodynia (PV) is the leading cause of vulvar pain and dyspareunia. The etiology of PV is multifactorial and remains poorly understood. PV is associated with a history of repeated vulvar inflammation and is often accompanied by sensory neuromodulation as a result of activation of the metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (mGluR5) in the sensory nerve terminals.
