Ancient murals embody profound historical, cultural, scientific, and artistic values, yet many are afflicted with challenges such as pigment shedding or missing parts. While deep learning-based completion techniques have yielded remarkable results in restoring natural images, their application to damaged murals has been unsatisfactory due to data shifts and limited modeling efficacy. This paper proposes a novel progressive reasoning network designed specifically for mural image completion, inspired by the mural painting process.

In interstitial lung disease (ILD), symptoms drive impairments in health-related quality of life. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) can assess whether interventions change symptom severity. The meaningfulness of change in a PROM score is estimated by anchoring it to a related variable for which meaningful change has been previously established.

In this compilation, the focus is on the Cochineal insect ( Costa, 1835 (Hemiptera: Dactylopiidae)), a creature native to South America that produces a potent natural red pigment known as "carmine". This pigment, utilized for obtaining the color red, has been an integral part of the art world for thousands of years. Indigenous cultures, in particular, have employed the dye extracted from this insect in the creation of textile dyes and paintings.

In this study, we design a smart building block with quantum-dot light-emitting diode (QLED) and colored radiative cooling devices. A smart light-emitting building block is fabricated using a bottom-inverted QLED that emits green light, an insulating layer, and a top radiative cooling structure that emits mid-infrared light. The heat generated during QLED operation is measured and analyzed to investigate the correlation between heat and QLED degradation.
