The first-principles electron-hole Lindhard response function has been calculated and analyzed in detail for two (TMTSF) X (X = ClO and NO) Bechgaard salts undergoing different anion-ordering (AO) transitions. The calculation was carried out using the real triclinic low-temperature structures. The evolution of the electron-hole response with temperature for both relaxed and quenched salts is discussed.

Background: Rare breeds represent a valuable resource for future market demands. These populations are usually well-adapted, but their low census compromises the genetic diversity and future of these breeds. Since improvement of a breed for commercial traits may also confer higher probabilities of survival for the breed, it is important to achieve good responses to artificial selection.

Objective: To assess the effect of motor imagery, as a rehabilitation method in stroke, on F-wave parameters that undergo changes during upper motor neuron involvement.
Methods: Twenty-one fully conscious hemiparetic stroke survivors with a completely plegic hand (power 0/5) and a minimum interval of 72 hours since stroke were recruited into this study. The mean F-wave latency, amplitude, and persistence in the median and ulnar nerves were measured in both the affected and non-affected sides at rest and in the paretic hand during a mental task.
The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of A-waves in cases referred to our electromyography laboratory with various diagnoses and documentation of electrophysiologic diagnoses with A-waves. In cases where at least 3 motor nerves were analysed, during F response studies, A-waves having stabile latencies and amplitudes from minimum one third of submaximal and supramaximal stimuli were evaluated. Electrophysiologic diagnoses and the related nerves of cases with A-waves were recorded.

Background And Aims: The use of a tourniquet during surgery is associated with a risk of neurological disorders. We compared whether a new tourniquet system using low pressure (250 mmHg) is safer than a standard tourniquet system using higher inflation pressure (350 mmHg).
Materials And Methods: Thirty-one patients (ASA I-II), ages 16-48 years, were studied with ENMG preoperatively and 3 weeks postoperatively following arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
