The vibration perception threshold (VPT) is the minimum amplitude required for conscious vibration perception. VPT assessments are essential in medical diagnostics, safety, and human-machine interaction technologies. However, factors like age, health conditions, and external variables affect VPTs.

Background: It is difficult for radiologists, especially junior radiologists with limited experience to make differential diagnoses between mediastinal lymphomas and thymic epithelial tumors (TETs) due to the overlapping imaging features. The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a CT-based clinico-radiomics model for differentiating lymphomas from TETs and to investigate whether a human-machine hybrid system can assist junior radiologists in improving their diagnostic performance.
Methods: The patients who underwent contrast-enhanced chest CT and pathologically confirmed with lymphoma or TET at two centers from January 2011 to December 2019 and from January 2017 to December 2021 were retrospectively included and split as training/validation set and external test set, respectively.

Highly performance flexible strain sensor is a crucial component for wearable devices, human-machine interfaces, and e-skins. However, the sensitivity of the strain sensor is highly limited by the strain range for large destruction of the conductive network. Here the quasi-1D conductive network (QCN) is proposed for the design of an ultra-sensitive strain sensor.

The advancement of motor augmentation and the broader domain of human-machine interaction rely on a seamless integration with users' physical and cognitive capabilities. These considerations may markedly fluctuate among individuals on the basis of their age, form, and abilities. There is a need to develop a standard for considering these diversity needs and preferences to guide technological development, and large-scale testing can provide us with evidence for such considerations.
