Objectives: Clozapine, an atypical antipsychotic used to treat people with schizophrenia, has been proposed as a possible treatment for salivary gland hypofunction. This scoping review investigated the available literature on clozapine's impact on salivary flow, in order to determine whether it could be used by dental practitioners in low doses as a treatment for dry mouth.

Long-term disabilities induced by stroke impose a heavy burden on patients, families, caregivers, and public health systems. Extensive studies have demonstrated the therapeutic value of neuromodulation in enhancing post-stroke recovery. Among them, chemogenetic neuromodulation activated by clozapine-N-oxide (CNO) has been proposed as the potential tool of neuromodulation.

There are very few reports which suggest an association between antipsychotic clozapine low dose and seizure. We report a case in which intial titration of low dose clozapine developed seizure. A 42-year-old female who did not have any history of seizure and had normal blood parameters and normal computed tomography brain at the baseline developed seizure while on clozapine 300 mg/day.

Clozapine, atypical antipsychotic drug, is widely used in patients with schizophrenia, for whom previous therapy was inadequate or not tolerated. Clozapine-induced myocarditis (CIM) is a relatively rare but potentially life-threatening complication of clozapine therapy; however, the underlying mechanism has not been so far well elucidated. Factors predisposing to CIM include a rapid dose titration, advanced age and co-administration of sodium valproate.
