The authors have developed the own method of inguinal herniotomy using an autodermal graft for the plasty of the posterior wall of the inguinal canal in direct and recurrent inguinal hernias. The technic of operation is described. The results of this modified method of herniotomy are analyzed.

Horses are particularly susceptible to developing exertional rhabdomyolysis (ER) characterized by muscle stiffness, pain, and reluctance to move. Diagnosis requires establishing abnormal increases in serum creatine kinase activity when horses exhibit clinical signs. The 2 main categories of ER include sporadic ER arising from extrinsic causes and chronic ER that arises from intrinsic continuous or episodic abnormalities in muscle function.

Necrotizing pancreatitis often demands intervention; contemporary management is directed by the step-up approach. Timing of intervention and specific approach is best directed by a multi-disciplinary team including advanced endosocpists, interventional radiologists, and surgeons with interest and experience managing this complex problem. The intervention is often a combination of percutaneous drainage, transluminal endoscopic approaches, and surgical debridement (minimally invasive or open).

Motivation: T-cell receptors (TCRs) elicit and mediate the adaptive immune response by recognizing antigenic peptides, a process pivotal for cancer immunotherapy, vaccine design, and autoimmune disease management. Understanding the intricate binding patterns between TCRs and peptides is critical for advancing these clinical applications. While several computational tools have been developed, they neglect the directional semantics inherent in sequence data, which are essential for accurately characterizing TCR-peptide interactions.

Introduction: Smartphone and wearable technologies are novel devices for monitoring postoperative mobility and recovery in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients. This systematic review of the highest-level evidence studies evaluated the advantages of these technologies in postoperative care, specifically focusing on 1) smartphone applications, 2) wearable devices, and 3) their combined use.
Methods: A systematic literature search from July 26, 2015, to June 13, 2024, identified Level-1 and -2 published studies investigating smartphone applications and wearables for monitoring post-TKA recovery.

Background: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is widely used for managing brain metastases (BMs), but an adverse effect, radionecrosis, complicates post-SRS management. Differentiating radionecrosis from tumor recurrence non-invasively remains a major clinical challenge, as conventional imaging techniques often necessitate surgical biopsy for accurate diagnosis. Machine learning and deep learning models have shown potential in distinguishing radionecrosis from tumor recurrence.
