Two morphologic subtypes of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA), small duct and large duct, are now recognized, and importantly, these subtypes are associated with distinct molecular pathways and therapeutic options. Initial studies demonstrated the feasibility of morphologic subclassification and helped characterize the immunoprofile of the subtypes. However, few studies have been undertaken in Western countries where incidence of the subtypes is likely distinct from that in the East.

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is one of the most challenging neoplasms because of its phenotypic variability and intratumoral heterogeneity. Because of its variability, ccRCC is a good test bench for the application of new technological approaches to unveiling its intricacies. Multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) is an emerging method that enables the simultaneous and detailed assessment of tumor and stromal cell subpopulations in a single tissue section.

Background/aim: Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare and highly aggressive hematologic cancer which is difficult to diagnose and has a lot of overlapping features with other diseases, particularly acute myeloid leukemia (AML). BPDCN shares several immunophenotypic markers with AML, such as CD4, CD56, CD123, and HLA-DR, stating the importance of having extending panel of specific immunohistochemical (IHC) markers.
Case Report: This report details a case of CLL who presented with worsening symptoms of recurrent infections and leukocytosis.

EWSR1/FUS::TFCP2-rearranged rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a rare tumor with an aggressive clinical course, a predilection for craniofacial bones, spindled and/or epithelioid histomorphology, and positive immunohistochemistry (IHC) for epithelial and myogenic markers, along with variable ALK expression. Herein, we present four additional cases of primary cutaneous TFCP2-rearranged RMS. Notably, one tumor (case 1) displayed a varied pathological spectrum, initially presenting as a low-grade spindle cell neoplasm, but progressed into a high-grade spindle/epithelioid tumor.

Leiomyoma with bizarre nuclei (LM-BN) is a rare variant of leiomyoma with a benign clinical course. In contrast, leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is a high-grade, malignant neoplasm characterized by high recurrence rates and poor survival. While LM-BN and LMS show distinct morphologies, they share similar immunoprofiles and molecular alterations, with both considered 'genomically unstable'.
