Purpose Of Review: Lower extremities axis alterations are a frequent cause for consultation in the medical practice of the care of paediatric patients. When it corresponds to pathological situations, guided growth surgery has been positioned as a possibility of well tolerated, reproducible and predictable resolution. For this reason, its use has increased significantly in recent years. In this review, its current indications, preoperative study, results and complications described in the updated literature will be discussed.
Recent Findings: The success of the technique remains high in the current literature, expanding the technique to other segments and disorders, and describing new ways of performing tension band with sutures. In addition, there is an increase in its incidence and a decrease in the associated hospitalized days, which can associate with techniques of lower morbidity.
Summary: As guided growth surgery allows for successful correction of axis alterations, to achieve this, it is important to know the main indications, preoperative analysis and theoretical bases on which this technique is based, to carry it out in an adequate and timely manner, seeking an adequate resolution of the child's problem.

Background: We aim to investigate the potential association between the administration of Lumbosacral epidural steroid injections (LESIs) and the subsequent onset or progression of Lumbosacral epidural lipomatosis (LEL) in patients devoid of established risk factors for LEL.
Methods: We carried out a single-center retrospective study on patients who underwent LESI. We collected demographics including age and gender as well as clinical and radiological characteristics including the type of corticosteroids utilized, the number of LESIs administered, the use of epidural guidance during LESI procedures, and LEL grading.

The integration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) related photodynamic therapy (PDT) with the strategy of reshaping the tumor microenvironment (TME) has emerged as a potential approach for nanodiagnostic and therapeutic interventions. However, the therapeutic efficacy based on ROS treatments may be hindered by intracellular antioxidants such as glutathione (GSH) and tumor hypoxia. To address these challenges, a nanoplatform based on GSH-responsive multifunctional porphyrinic metal-organic framework (PCN-224@Au@MnO@HA, PAMH) was proposed.

Tumor heterogeneity remains a formidable obstacle in targeted cancer therapy, often leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes. This study presents an innovative approach that harnesses controlled inflammation to guide neutrophil-mediated drug delivery, effectively overcoming the limitations imposed by tumor heterogeneity. By inducing localized inflammation within tumors using lipopolysaccharide, it significantly amplify the recruitment of drug-laden neutrophils to tumor sites, irrespective of specific tumor markers.

The development and progression of osteoarthritis (OA) are believed to involve inflammation. This study aimed to investigate the effects of applying therapeutic ultrasound (US) to human osteoarthritic chondrocytes in continuous and pulsed modes on cell proliferation and proinflammatory cytokine levels. Human osteoarthritic chondrocytes (HC-OA 402OA-05a) were proliferated in appropriate media and then seeded into culture plates.

Background: Homegardens (HGs) are well-time-honored traditional land use systems in small plots of land with purposely designed intricate structure and a mixture of planted vascular plants (VPs) for different purposes. Hence, the present study was initiated to investigate the ethnobotanical information of vascular plants of homegardens and their use, conservation and management practice by the people of Dawuro in southwestern Ethiopia.
Methods: A total of 162 farmer informants were selected and interviewed within a distance of < 2 km, 2-4 km and > 4 km between the natural forest and homegardens, and 0.
