Objectives: This study evaluates a staged selective hybrid approach for acute type A aortic dissection. The approach involves a zone 2 aortic arch replacement with debranching of the brachiocephalic trunk and left common carotid artery to create a landing zone for thoracic endovascular aortic repair. This repair is performed either preemptively in the subacute phase to promote remodelling or electively in the chronic phase to manage aneurysm formation.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of thrombus stiffness, measured by strain elastography, in independently predicting the success of endovascular treatment for thrombosed hemodialysis fistulas.
Methods: The study employed a retrospective observational design. Forty-nine patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis and experiencing fistula dysfunction were included.

A patient in their early 60s presented with a headache and right-sided numbness. Imaging revealed a hemorrhagic lesion in the left thalamus and venous engorgement involving the left sphenoparietal sinus, with drainage through the basal vein of Rosenthal and the superficial middle cerebral vein. The trans-Galen approach was utilized for embolization, successfully obliterating the fistulas using coils without retrograde opacification.

The vasa vasorum (VV) have gathered considerable interest over the last decade due to its role in vascular wall biology and pathology; however, while the coronary VV are relatively well studied, the anatomy of peripheral VV, such as those of the aorta, remains poorly described, hampering knowledge of their role in peripheral vascular diseases. Through careful retrieval of the porcine thoracic aorta and successful microthrombi removal, the thoracic aorta was perfused with BriteVu™ followed by micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) scanning to image the VV and obtain a 3D reconstruction. We used commercially available software and its thresholding algorithms.

phase II, randomized, double blinded, multi-center study aims to explore whether intravenous edaravone dexborneol (ED) could improve clinical outcomes in patients with anterior circulation stroke with successful endovascular reperfusion (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT04667637 Eligible patients were randomly (1:1) assigned into ED, which received intravenous ED (37.5 mg, 2/day, for 12 days) or control group, which received placebo.
