We report on the implementation of a far-off-resonant, optical dipole force trap in a reaction microscope combined with a magneto-optical trap. Kinematically complete multi-photon ionization experiments were performed on optically trapped Li atoms and photo-associated Li molecules in their highest vibrational state. The apparatus allows us to distinguish different ionization mechanisms related to the presence of the IR field of the optical dipole trap that can occur during ionization of Li and Li in strong fields. In a series of proof-of-principle experiments, we detect weakly bound dimers via three-photon ionization with femtosecond pulses (τ = 30 fs) at a central wavelength of 780 nm and measure directly the momenta of the photoelectrons in coincidence with recoil ions.

Malaria, a parasitic disease caused by Plasmodium spp. and transmitted by Anopheles mosquitoes, remains a major global health issue, with an estimated 249 million cases and 608,000 deaths in 2022. Rapid and accurate diagnosis and treatment are crucial for malaria control and elimination.

Receptor-based biosensors often suffer from slow analyte diffusion, leading to extended assay times. Moreover, existing methods to enhance diffusion can be complex and costly. In response to this challenge, we presented a rapid and cost-effective technique for fabricating concave magnetic-responsive hydrogel discs (CMDs) by straightforward pipetting directly onto microscope glass slides.

Objectives: Tinea capitis remains a common fungal infection in children worldwide. Species identification is critical for determining the source of infection and reducing transmission. In conventional methods, macro- and microscopic analysis is time-consuming and results in slow fungal growth or low specificity.

Background: Heredity and epigenetics affect the pathogenesis of microscopic polyangiitis (MPA). Tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) polymorphisms (rs2304256C > A, rs280519A > G, and rs12720270G > A) may be potential protective factors against anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV). Current research suggests that TYK2 is associated with various autoimmune diseases; however, no study has examined the relationship between TYK2 polymorphisms and AAV.

In the era of atomic manufacturing, the precise manipulation of atomic structures to engineer highly active catalytic sites has become a central focus in catalysis research. Dual-atom catalysts (DACs) have garnered significant attention for their superior activity, selectivity, and stability compared to single-atom catalysts (SACs). However, a comprehensive review that integrates geometric and electronic factors influencing DAC performance remains limited.
