With the growth of the quantum biology field, the study of magnetic field (MF) effects on biological processes and their potential therapeutic applications has attracted much attention. However, most biologists lack the experience needed to construct an MF exposure apparatus on their own, no consensus standard exists for exposure methods, and protocols for model organisms are sorely lacking. We aim to provide those interested in entering the field with the ability to investigate static MF effects in their own research.

Background: Ocular melanoma is a rare kind of eye malignancy that threatens the patient's eyesight. Radiotherapy and surgical removal are the most commonly used therapeutic modalities, and nanomedicine has lately entered this field. Brachytherapy using Ruthenium-106 ( Ru) ophthalmic plaques has been used for decades to treat ocular melanoma, with the applicator placed on the patient's eyes until the prescribed dose reaches the tumor apex.

Aims: To assess differences in the clinical prognosis between different treatment timings in poor-grade (Hunt and Hess grade 4-5) aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage patients.
Methods: The treated 127 poor-grade aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage patients were divided into three groups: early treatment within 2 days, treatment on days 3 to 10, and treatment for more than 10 days after the hemorrhage. Odd ratios with a 95% confidence interval were calculated in logistic regression for different timing strategies regarding delayed cerebral ischemia and poor prognosis at 3 months.
