Deep margin elevation is a solution to the problem of localized subgingival margins when preparing a tooth for direct, semidirect, or indirect restorations. The technique focuses on the local isolation of the deep margin by using a modified circumferential matrix. An evolution of the technique is presented, the matrix-in-a-matrix technique, to facilitate the isolation and fit of the subgingival matrix by adding a sectional band inside the circumferential matrix and packing Teflon tape between the 2 bands. Resective surgeries, invasive restorative procedures, and even sometimes extractions can all potentially be avoided by this modified deep margin elevation, allowing ideal conditions for scanning or impression making.

Deep and accurate proteome analysis is crucial for understanding cellular processes and disease mechanisms; however, it is challenging to implement in routine settings. In this protocol, we combine a robust chromatographic platform with a high-performance mass spectrometric setup to enable routine yet in-depth proteome coverage for a broad community. This entails tip-based sample preparation and pre-formed gradients (Evosep One) combined with a trapped ion mobility time-of-flight mass spectrometer (timsTOF, Bruker).

This study simulated the dispersion of Cs in the North Pacific using a Lagrangian particle model, incorporating basin-wide atmospheric deposition and direct release from the Fukushima accident. Three experiments examined the impact of vertical diffusion and velocity on dispersion behavior. EXP01 and EXP02 assumed zero vertical velocity with different vertical diffusion coefficients (1 × 10 and 2 × 10 m/s, respectively), while EXP03 used a 3-day average vertical velocity and the same diffusion coefficient as EXP01.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection is performed in cases of early gastric cancer, where the risk of lymph node metastasis (LNM) is expected to be negligible, and 12%-21% of these patients are deemed to have undergone non-curative resections based on pathological criteria. In such cases, decisions regarding additional treatments must be made to maximize curability, depending on the anticipated LNM risk. Well-established risk factors for LNM include lymphatic invasion, vascular invasion, deep submucosal invasion, positive vertical margins, and larger tumor size.

Introduction: The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Global 2025 targets prioritize action to overcome the collective barriers affecting the people and communities sitting on the outer margins of HIV care. Addressing the social and structural disparities that drive greater HIV prevalence and burden requires well-resourced, community-led responses that are fully integrated into national and global HIV initiatives.

Methods: The HIV Community Council (HCC), composed of 10 leaders from diverse global communities, convened to share their insights, amplify the community's voice, and identify barriers and solutions to empower all to live well with HIV through a dynamic, stepwise process of preparative work, deep discussion, prioritization, and consensus.
