Time perception plays a fundamental role in people's daily life activities, and it is modulated by changes in environmental contexts. Recent studies have observed that attractive faces generally result in temporal dilation and have proposed increased arousal to account for such dilation. However, there is no direct empirical result to evidence such an account. The aim of the current study, therefore, was to clarify the relationship between arousal and the temporal dilation effect of facial attractiveness by introducing a rating of arousal to test the effect of arousal on temporal dilation (Experiment 1) and by regulating arousal automatic expression suppression to explore the association between arousal and temporal dilation (Experiment 2). As a result, Experiment 1 found that increased arousal mediated the temporal dilation effect of attractive faces; Experiment 2 showed that the downregulation of arousal attenuated the temporal dilation of attractive faces. These results highlighted the role of increased arousal, which is a dominating mechanism of the temporal dilation effect of attractive faces.

Aims And Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the presence, type, and severity of hearing losses in individuals with Duane Retraction Syndrome (DRS), and to ascertain if there are anomalies in the auditory pathways at the brainstem level in DRS, believed to arise from aberrant interaction between cranial nerves and brainstem nuclei.
Study Design: Cross-sectional observational study.
Setting: Tertiary referral centre.

A new pulse-dilated photomultiplier tube (PD-PMT) with sub-20 ps temporal resolution and associated drivers have been developed for use detection and signal amplification in the inertial confinement fusion (ICF) community. The PD-PMT is coupled to a transmission line output in order to provide a continuous time history of the input signal. Electron pulse dilation provides high-speed detection capabilities by converting incoming signals into a free-electron cloud and manipulating the electron signal with electric and magnetic fields.

Background And Objective: Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is among the most sleep-related breathing disorders, capable of causing severe neurological and cardiovascular complications if left untreated. The conventional diagnosis of OSA relies on polysomnography, which involves multiple electrodes and expert supervision. A promising alternative is single-channel Electrocardiogram (ECG) based diagnosis due to its simplicity and relevance.

The temporal dilated convolutional model usually requires a large amount of computing resources in the human pose recognition task, especially when the input image information is too complex, which will lead to the shortcomings of low accuracy and large model energy consumption. Addressing these issues, we designed a new human poses recognition Spiking Pulse Graph Neural Networks model. In this model, we increase the receptive field of the model by changing the expansion coefficient and activation function of the convolution in the model receptive field processing module, so as to make the extracted features more accurate.

Traffic flow forecasting is a crucial yet complex task due to the intricate spatial-temporal correlations arising from road interactions. Recent methods model these interactions using message-passing Graph Convolution Networks (GCNs), which work for homophily graphs where connected nodes primarily exhibit close observations. However, relying solely on homophily graphs presents inherent limitations in traffic modeling, as road interactions can yield not only close but also distant observations over time, revealing diverse and dynamic node-wise correlations.
