Providing clinicians with comprehensive tools to transform the smiles of their patients, digital applications are wholly changing the dental profession. The impact of technology on the delivery of care has enabled clinicians to be increasingly more analytical and meticulous in planning and rigidly focused on the predictability of outcomes. Tools are available that allow clinicians to better understand their patients, not only anatomically and biomedically, but with regard to their personal goals for their oral care. This article highlights some of the more profound technological advancements clinicians have at their disposal to both plan and deliver streamlined minimally invasive treatment that equals or exceeds historically cutting-edge esthetic dentistry. The case studies presented indicate how professional collaboration and prosthetically driven planning may be utilized to achieve lofty goals for patient satisfaction, even in highly complex and challenging cases.

An aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, motile, coccus-shaped actinomycete, designated strain LSe6-4, was isolated from leaves of sea purslane (Sesuvium portulacastrum L.) in Thailand and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic studies. Closely related species of Salmonidae, including Pacific and Atlantic salmon, can be distinguished from one another based on nucleotide sequences from the cytochrome c oxidase sub-unit 1 mitochondrial gene (COI), using ensembles of fragments aligned to genetic barcodes that serve as digital proxies for the relevant species. This is accomplished by exploiting both the nucleotide sequences and their quality scores recorded in a FASTQ file obtained via Next Generation (NextGen) Sequencing of mitochondrial DNA extracted from Coho salmon caught with hook and line in the Gulf of Alaska. Objective: The incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures has been increasing annually. However, clinical surgeons have overlooked the impaction fractures of the posterolateral tibial plateau and lateral femoral condyle in patients with ACL ruptures. The purpose of the present study was to report the detection rate of the posterolateral tibial plateau impaction fractures in patients with ACL ruptures, and to evaluate the functional outcomes of patients following ACL reconstruction (ACLR) without treatment of the tibial fractures at a 2-year postoperative follow-up.
