We consider a harmonic oscillator under periodic driving and coupled to two harmonic-oscillator heat baths at different temperatures. We use the thermofield transformation with chain mapping for this setup, which allows us to study the unitary evolution of the system and the baths up to a time when the periodic steady state emerges in the system. We characterize this periodic steady state, and we show that, by tuning the system and the bath parameters, one can turn this system from an engine to an accelerator or even to a heater. The possibility to study the unitary evolution of the system and baths also allows us to evaluate the steady correlations that build between the system and the baths, and correlations that grow between the baths.

Kanıtlar, klorheksidin glukonat (CHG) solüsyonuyla gerçekleştirilen banyonun, sağlık hizmeti ilişkili enfeksiyonlar (SHİE)'a neden olan mikroorganizmaların kolonizasyonunu azalttığını göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada yoğun bakım ünitesi (YBÜ)'nde yatan kanser hastalarında CHG banyosunun MRSA ve VRE kolonizasyonu üzerindeki etkilerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çapraz tasarımlı çalışmada, kanser hastalarında standart su + sabun banyosuyla %2'lik CHG banyosu karşılaştırılmıştır.

The present pilot study examined effectiveness of a 2-week footbathing intervention on physiological, endocrine, and psychological status in healthy Japanese university students. A total of 51 participants were randomly assigned to a footbathing or normal bathing group. Participants in both groups provided daily free descriptions of their physical and mental states during the intervention period.

A stochastic energetics framework is applied to examine how periodically shifting the frequency of a time-dependent oscillating temperature gradient affects heat transport in a nanoscale molecular model. We specifically examine the effects that frequency switching, i.e.

Objectives: High nurse turnover during nursing shortages can contribute to missed nursing care. This study investigated the prevalence of missed nursing care and how nurse turnover affects missed nursing care.
Methods: A cross-sectional design was adopted to collect data from a convenience sample of nurses working in general hospitals in South Korea.

Background: Despite global declines in child mortality rates, Africa's reduction is lagging behind other regions. Neonatal survival remains a key priority in the sustainable development agenda. Promoting neonatal care practices at the individual and community levels is essential, and technology-based interventions can effectively reach potential future mothers.
