Among the numerous measurements carried out during a well-logging procedure, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) assessment is one of the fundamental analyses in determining the economic viability of a well for the oil industry. Nowadays, two reliable approaches, Wireline Logging (WL) and Logging While Drilling (LWD), stand out. WL comprises the acquisition of NMR data under static conditions.

Solar-driven CO photoreduction holds promise for sustainable fuel and chemical productions, but the complex proton-coupled multi-electron transfer processes and sluggish oxidation half-reaction kinetics substantially hinder its efficiency. Here, we devised a rational catalyst design to address these challenges by fabricating ferrocene carboxylic acid-functionalized CsSbBr nanocrystals (CSB-Fc NCs), which facilitate simultaneous benzyl alcohol oxidation and CO reduction reactions under visible-light irradiation. The synchronized proton-coupled electron transfer processes between the reduction and oxidation half-reactions on CSB-Fc NCs resulted in a 5-fold increase in the CO reduction rate (45.

Finite-time H output synchronization for DCRDNNs with multiple delayed and adaptive output couplings.

This work concentrates on solving the finite-time H output synchronization (FTHOS) issue of directed coupled reaction-diffusion neural networks (DCRDNNs) with multiple delayed and adaptive output couplings in the presence of external disturbances. Based on the output information, an adaptive law to adjust output coupling weights and a controller are respectively developed to ensure that the DCRDNNs achieve FTHOS. Then, in the special case of no external disturbances, a corollary on the finite-time output synchronization (FTOS) of the DCRDNNs with multiple delayed and adaptive output couplings is provided.

Microbes of nearly every species can form biofilms, communities of cells bound together by a self-produced matrix. It is not understood how variation at the cellular level impacts putatively beneficial, colony-level behaviors, such as cell-to-cell signaling. Here we investigate this problem with an agent-based computational model of metabolically driven electrochemical signaling in biofilms.

Some real-world phenomena and human-made problems have been modeled as networks where the objects form pairwise interactions. However, this is a limited approach when the existence of high-order interactions is inherent in a system, such as the brain, social networks and ecosystems. The way in which these high-order interactions affect the collective behavior of a complex system is still an open question.
