Background: Screening for elder abuse can cause victims to experience feelings of unpleasantness and/or relive painful memories which can be an ethical concern. Ensuring the safety of all participants/users, in our case long-term care (LTC) residents, is of the utmost importance.
Method: Drawing from approaches used in the intimate partner violence and clinical trials literature, we developed a novel typology of harm and a series of procedures to evaluate any negative consequences that might be incurred as a result of participating in the Piloting the Elder Abuse Suspicion Index-long term care: A Mixed Methods Feasibility Study.

Background: Domestic violence and abuse (DVA) is a violation of human rights that damages the health and well-being of-gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM). Sexual health services provide a unique opportunity to assess for DVA and provide support. This study explores the feasibility and acceptability of Healthcare Responding to Men for Safety (HERMES), a pilot intervention aimed to improve the identification and referral of gbMSM experiencing DVA in a London NHS Trust.

Literature has also suggested that mental health challenges in youth have increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the longitudinal relationship between mental health challenges in youth and COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy is not well established.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic amplified the risk environment for people who inject drugs (PWID), making continued access to harm reduction services imperative. Research has shown that some harm reduction service providers were able to continue to provide services throughout the pandemic. Background: The WHO has highlighted that: "promotion of e-cigarettes has led to marked increases in e-cigarette use by children and adolescents." The long-term neuropsychiatric and psychological consequences of substance abuse in adolescence is well recognised. Limited data exists on the adolescent burden of vaping-related nicotine addiction and behavioural and/or psychological dependence to guide pharmacological or behavioural interventions to stop electronic cigarette usage.
