Cutaneous tumors with adipocyte differentiation are frequently excised by surgeons in their daily clinical practice and sometimes less common histological diagnoses arise. Knowledge of different pathological entities and their natural history is essential for better patient management. Atypical spindle cell/Pleomorphic lipomatous tumor (ASPLT) is a recent group included in the WHO classification. We report a case of a middle-aged man with an atypical pleomorphic lipomatous tumor in an unusual location.

Congenital lipoblastomas, however, are rare, and the incidence of these tumors in neonates is unknown. Due to their rare presentation, congenital oral lipoblastomas can, firstly, pose diagnostic challenges for the pediatrician and must be differentiated from the more commonly seen oral lesions in the newborn and other rare malignant growths.

We present the case of a 43-year old female patient with epigastric pain and palpitations with a long history of diagnostics prior to discovery of an epicardial mass. The epicardial tumor with arterial vascularization from the left anterior descending artery was resected in a beating heart procedure and was found to be a lipomatous soft tissue tumor.

Beyond its canonical role in defence against parasitic helminth infections, type 2 immunity safeguards the host through additional mechanisms, including the suppression of excessive type 1 immune responses, regulation of tissue repair and maintenance of adipose tissue homeostasis.
