Unlabelled: The subfamily Amaryllidoideae, Amaryllidaceae, presents an exclusive group of structures known as Amaryllidaceae alkaloids, which have a broad spectrum of biological activities. These plants are classified into 59 genera, including Herb., which comprises approximately 60 species distributed mainly in South America, being widely used as ornamental plants due to the beauty of its flowers. This review presents an update about the alkaloid profiling of extracts published between 2012 and 2021, as well as an approach to the biological potential of these compounds.

Imaging-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy (PCNB) is currently the most common technique for the investigation of potentially malignant bone lesions. It allows precise needle placement and better visual guidance, leading to improved diagnostic accuracy. Needle tract seeding (NTS) is a rare complication of biopsies in general, and its true incidence remains unknown.

The synthesis and characterization of benzo[d]thiazol-2-amine derivatives, which were prepared by reacting benzothiazole with para-aminobenzophenone in ethanol, supplemented with glacial acetic acid. Subsequently, compound (2) was synthesized from compound (1) using NaNO, HPO, and HNO in a water-based solvent, resulting in 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde. Another derivative, compound (3), was synthesized by reacting compound (1) with vanillin under similar conditions.

Despite significant progress in the field of human breast cancer research and treatment, there is a consistent increase in the incidence rate of 0.5 percent annually, posing challenges in the development of effective novel therapeutic strategies. The failure rate of drugs in clinical trials stands at approximately 95%, primarily attributed to the limitations and lack of reliability of existing preclinical models, such as mice, which do not mimic human tumor biology.
