Thermodynamic investigations provide information about the solute-solvent interactions in the selection of the proper solvent for different fields of pharmaceutical sciences. Especially, the study of antiepileptic drugs in solutions (ethanol/co-solvent) has been a subject of interest owing to their effect in the systems using interaction with a number of important biological membranes. This work focuses on the measurement of density and speed of sound of the phenytoin (PTH) in ethanol/deep eutectic solvents (choline chloride:ethylene glycol, and choline chloride:glycerol) solutions as the innovative class of green solvents at temperature range (288.15 to 318.15) K. It was determined Hansen solubility parameters for assessment of PTH interactions in the solvent media. Some thermophysical parameters including apparent molar volumes Vϕ, apparent molar isobaric expansion [Formula: see text], and Hepler's constant, apparent molar isentropic compressibility κ were obtained and calculated using these data. To correlate the Vϕ and κ values, the Redlich-Meyer equation was used to calculate the number of quantities containing standard partial molar volume and partial molar isentropic compressibility. Finally, [Formula: see text] values showed a strong interaction between PTH and solvent (ethanol/DES (ChCl:EG)). The thermodynamic analysis of the studied system also plays a crucial role in the pharmaceutical industry.

mRNA-based therapies hold tremendous promise for treating various diseases, yet their clinical success is hindered by delivery challenges. This study developed a library of 140 lipocationic Poly(β-amino ester)s (PBAEs) and formulated lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles (LPHs) with four helper lipids, including 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane (DOTAP), to enhance mRNA delivery. Initial screening of four representative PBAEs identified the D/P4-1 formulation (DOTAP/PBAE molar ratio of 4:1) as the most effective.

The anatomy of molar teeth is important both functionally for chewing food and in evolutionary studies as a well-preserved species marker in the fossil record. Molar teeth begin to develop their characteristic biting-surface shape of cusps (peaks) and sulci (valleys) at the bell stage, when corresponding folds in the dental epithelium become apparent. Theories about the developmental mechanisms of cusp and sulcus morphogenesis have hitherto largely focused on the non-proliferating nature of the secondary enamel knots (EKs) at the cusp tips.

Background: Scandium-47 is the therapeutic counterpart to the diagnostic radionuclides, Sc and Sc. Together, these form elementally matched theranostic nuclide pairs, but their incorporation into radiopharmaceuticals requires developing production techniques leading to radioscandium isotopes with high chemical and radionuclidic purity. Previous Sc production methods involved expensive, enriched titanium targets that require additional procedures for target recovery.

Novel Co/NC heterogeneous catalysts were prepared by simply employing self-made Co/Zn-ZIF (zeolitic imidazolate framework) through pyrolysis. The samples were characterized by XRD, XPS, Raman, TEM and BET, and were successfully applied in a cyclopropanation reaction with a yield of 85%. Furthermore, this one-pot synthesized catalyst could be recycled several times without apparent deactivation.

Background: [Ga]PentixaFor detects C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) overexpression in various malignancies, such as multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, as well as in endocrine and inflammatory disorders. This study aimed to develop an AlF-labeled radiotracer derived from LY2510924 for CXCR4-targeted imaging, leveraging the physical and logistical advantages of fluorine-18.
Methods: We designed a CXCR4-specific radioprobe, [F]AlF-NOTA-SC, based on LY2510924 by incorporating a triglutamate linker and NOTA chelator to enable AlF-labeling.
