Myosin light chain 9 (MYL9) is a regulatory light chain of myosin, which plays an important role in various biological processes including cell contraction, proliferation and invasion. MYL9 expresses abnormally in several malignancies including lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, malignant melanoma and others, which is closely related to the poor prognosis, but the clinical significance for its expression varies with different types of cancer tissues. Further elucidating the molecular mechanism of MYL9 in various types of malignant tumor metastasis is of great significance for cancer prevention and treatment. At the same time, as a molecular marker and potential target, MYL9 may have great clinical value in the early diagnosis, prognosis prediction, and targeted treatment of malignant tumors.

Currently, CsPbI quantum dots (QDs) based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are not well suited for achieving high efficiency and operational stability due to the binary-precursor method and purification process, which often results in the nonstoichiometric ratio of Cs/Pb/I. This imbalance leads to amounts of iodine vacancies, inducing severe non-radiative recombination processes and phase transitions of QDs. Herein, red-emitting CsPbI QDs are reported with excellent optoelectronic properties and stability based on the synergistic effects of halide-rich modulation passivation and lattice repair.

Neurologic immune-related adverse events (nirAEs) represent rare, yet severe side effects associated with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. Given the absence of established diagnostic biomarkers for nirAEs, we aimed to evaluate the diagnostic utility of serum Neurofilament Light Chain (NfL) and Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP). Fifty-three patients were included at three comprehensive cancer centers, of these 20 patients with manifest nirAEs and 11 patients with irHypophysitis.

A series of novel chain-extended polyurethanes (CEPUs) featuring degradable sulfonyl ethyl urethane chain-extenders that permit degradation under base-triggered conditions to afford "debond-on-demand" elastomeric adhesives are reported. Exposure of the CEPUs to -butylammonium fluoride (TBAF) triggered the degradation of the sulfonyl ethyl urethane chain-extenders. Lap shear adhesion tests of the CEPUs exposed to TBAF revealed reductions in shear strength of up to 65% for both aluminum and glass substrates, from 2.

We report an interesting case of an elderly male patient with splenic marginal zone lymphoma with a monoclonal cluster of differentiation (CD)5+ B cells. The patient developed signs of renal injury and was evaluated via serum protein electrophoresis and immunofixation electrophoresis, which revealed monoclonal gammopathy with elevated free lambda light chain. However, a bone biopsy ruled out a diagnosis of multiple myeloma.

Synthetic lipids have been studied as components in membrane models and drug delivery systems. Polymerizable phospholipids, especially photosensitive ones, can form new bilayer bonds when UV light irradiates. These phospholipids have been known since the 1980s, but in the last few years, new applications have been highlighted.
