Objectives: Antegrade wiring (AW) is the most common coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) crossing strategy and usually relies upon stepwise guidewire escalation starting from the low tip-load polymer-jacketed wire (standard guidewire escalation). The authors aimed to investigate whether the upfront use of intermediate tip-load polymer-jacketed guidewire translates into improved procedural outcomes of CTO percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: The Gladius First trial was a single-center, investigator-initiated, randomized, prospective trial.

Chronic insomnia is one of the most common health problems among veterans and can significantly impact health, function, and quality of life. Brief behavioral treatment for insomnia (BBTI), an adaptation of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), was developed to help increase access to care outside of specialty settings. However, training providers alone is rarely sufficient, and implementation strategies are needed for successful uptake, adoption, and sustainable delivery of care.

Diagnosis of patellofemoral chondral injuries can be challenging, and differentiating between various causes of anterior knee pain is crucial to successful outcomes. Once identified, nonsurgical treatments including physical therapy, bracing, and injections are a mainstay of initial management.

Bovine brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis are zoonotic diseases with economic and public health importance across the world, especially in developing countries where the diseases are endemic. The diseases are classified as neglected diseases in developing nations with poor resources despite good control measures in some developed countries. The purpose of this study is to assess the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions (KAP) of stakeholders towards control measures for bovine brucellosis (BR) and bovine tuberculosis (bTB) at a livestock-wildlife interface.
