Published: January 2022

Herein, a novel chiral covalent organic framework, DA-TD COF, with good chemical/thermal stability was synthesized and used as a chiral stationary phase for open-tubular capillary electrochromatography enantioseparation. The DA-TD COF coated capillary exhibited excellent enantioseparation efficiency and its separation efficiency did not show an obvious decrease over 200 runs. Furthermore, the enantioseparation mechanism was studied.

Developing high-precision models of the nuclear force and propagating the associated uncertainties in quantum many-body calculations of nuclei and nuclear matter remain key challenges for ab initio nuclear theory. In this Letter, we demonstrate that generative machine learning models can construct novel instances of the nucleon-nucleon interaction when trained on existing potentials from the literature. In particular, we train the generative model on nucleon-nucleon potentials derived at second and third order in chiral effective field theory and at three different choices of the resolution scale.

On-Chip Elastic Wave Manipulations Based on Synthetic Dimension.

Phys Rev Lett

Key Laboratory of Materials Physics of Ministry of Education, School of Physics, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou 450001, China.

Manipulating elastic waves in lower-dimensional mechanical metamaterials has attracted much attention since it lays the foundation for the design of various elastic functional devices, especially for on-chip size. However, due to the experimental challenges, it is very difficult to control elastic waves in higher dimensions. In this Letter, we introduce an extra structural parameter to synthesize and investigate the on-chip Weyl physics in silicon-on-insulator system.

Novel patterns in discrete Ikeda map: Quint points and complex non-quantum chirality.

Chaos

January 2025

School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, Zhengzhou University, Science Road 100, 450001 Zhengzhou, China.

In this paper, the complex and dynamically rich distribution of stable phases in the well-known discrete Ikeda map is studied in detail. The unfolding patterns of these stable phases are described through three complementary stability diagrams: the Lyapunov stability diagram, the isoperiod stability diagram, and the isospike stability diagram. The adding-doubling complexification cascade and fascinating non-quantum chiral pairs are discovered, marking the first report of such structures in discrete mapping.

We introduce mechanochemical deracemization (MCDR) as a novel strategy for obtaining enantiopure compounds. This study demonstrates the successful transposition of six archetypical deracemization reactions from a solvent-based to a solvent-minimized ball milling environment. The scope includes a ketone, isoindolinones, imines, an ester, and an inorganic compound, all of which deracemized successfully.

Chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) generates giant spin polarization in transport through chiral molecules, paving the way for novel spintronic devices and enantiomer separation. Unlike conventional transport, CISS magnetoresistance (MR) violates Onsager's reciprocal relation, exhibiting significant resistance changes when reversing electrode magnetization at zero bias. However, its underlying mechanism remains unresolved.
