Objective: To compare the application effects of three different extubation techniques in patients with mechanical ventilation in intensive care unit (ICU).
Methods: A prospective randomized controlled study was conducted. Mechanical ventilation patients admitted to the critical care department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from July to November 2023 were enrolled.

Objective: We aim to investigate whether Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) worsens chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection and explore the incidence of long COVID symptoms in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
Methods: Patients with chronic HBV infection and COVID-19 patients attending the hepatitis clinic or fever clinic were included in the study. Clinical manifestations of COVID-19 and information about long COVID were collected for all patients.

To explore and summarize the morphological features of laryngeal tuberculosis under electronic laryngoscopy and image-enhanced endoscopy (i-scan). A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 31 patients diagnosed with laryngeal tuberculosis at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from January 2014 to June 2024, encompassing the morphological features of electronic laryngoscopy and i-scan endoscopy, histopathological features, and supplementary clinical examination results. Descriptive statistical methods were employed for the analysis.

This review summarises advances in research from Aotearoa, New Zealand (NZ) that have potential to reduce the inequitable distribution of acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD). ARF incidence and RHD prevalence are unacceptably inequitable for Māori and Pacifica. Recent qualitative research has demonstrated mismatches between the lived experience of those with ARF/RHD and health service experience they encounter.
