Leaf litter decomposition is a major component of nutrient cycling which depends on the quality and quantity of the leaf material. Ash trees (, decay time ∼ 0.4 years) are declining throughout Europe due to a fungal pathogen (), which is likely to alter biochemical cycling across the continent.

The research and development needed to achieve sustainability of African smallholder agricultural and natural systems has led to a wide array of theoretical frameworks for conceptualising socioecological processes and functions. However, there are few analytical tools for spatio-temporal empirical approaches to implement use cases, which is a prerequisite to understand the performance of smallholder farms in the real world. This study builds a multi-agent system (MAS) to operationalise the Sustainable Agricultural Intensification (SAI) theoretical framework (MASSAI).

The Hyrcanian forest is a global biodiversity hotspot that harbors many endemic and endangered tree species, but its tree diversity is threatened by various human-induced disturbances, such as logging, grazing, and urbanization. To address this issue, we conducted a study using three machine learning methods, i.e.

Recently, photo-electrooxidation of fuel using a noble metal-semiconductor junction has been one of the most promising approaches in fuel cell systems. Herein, we report the development of a Pd-supported BiMoO-BiOCO-CuO novel ternary heterojunction for ethanol oxidation in alkali in the presence and absence of visible light. Various spectroscopic and microscopic characterization techniques confirm strong coupling between palladium nanoparticles and BiMoO-BiOCO-CuO ternary heterojunction supports.

Transmissible and infectious viruses can cause large-scale epidemics around the world. This is because the virus can constantly mutate and produce different variants and subvariants to counter existing treatments. Therefore, a variety of treatments are urgently needed to keep up with the mutation of the viruses.
