The fungal green synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) has gained great interest since it is a cost-effective and easy handling method. The process is simple because fungi secrete metabolites and proteins capable of reducing metal salts in aqueous solution, however the mechanism remains largely unknown. The aim of this study was to analyze the secretome of a Trichoderma harzianum strain during the mycobiosynthesis process of zinc and iron nanoparticles.

Clinical T3 (cT3) breast cancer (BC) presents a challenge for achieving cosmetically acceptable breast conservation, and neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is commonly used for cytoreduction in these high-risk cancers. MammaPrint risk-of-recurrence and BluePrint molecular subtyping genomic signatures have demonstrated high accuracy in predicting chemotherapy benefits. Here, we examined the utility of MammaPrint/BluePrint for predicting pathological Complete Response (pCR) rates to NAC among 404 patients diagnosed with cT3 early-stage BC.

A common heavy metal in many facets of daily life is aluminum (AlCl3), which can be found in food, toothpaste, cosmetics, food additives, and numerous pharmaceutical items. The hippocampus, liver, and kidneys have the highest concentrations of this powerful neurotoxin, which also accumulates over time and contributes to the development of a number of cognitive disorders. Long-term overconsumption of AlCl3 results in hepatic and renal toxicity as well as neuronal inflammation.
