Hypervalent iodine heterocycles represent one of the important classes of hypervalent iodine reagents with many applications in organic synthesis. This paper reports a simple and convenient synthesis of benziodazolones by the reaction of readily available iodobenzamides with -chloroperoxybenzoic acid in acetonitrile at room temperature. The structure of one of these new iodine heterocycles was confirmed by X-ray analysis. In combination with PPh and pyridine, these benziodazolones can smoothly react with alcohols or amines to produce the corresponding esters or amides of 3-chlorobenzoic acid, respectively. It was found that the novel benziodazolone reagent reacts more efficiently than the analogous benziodoxolone reagent in this esterification.

The technology of native chemical ligation and postligation desulfurization has greatly expanded the scope of modern chemical protein synthesis. Here, we report that ultrasonic energy can trigger robust and clean protein desulfurization, and we developed an ultrasound-induced desulfurization (USID) strategy that is simple to use and generally applicable to peptides and proteins. The USID strategy involves a simple ultrasonic cleaning bath and an easy-to-use and easy-to-remove sonosensitizer, titanium dioxide.

Skin flap transplantation is a conventional wound repair method in plastic and reconstructive surgery, but infection and ischemia are common complications. Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy has shown promise for various medical problems, including wound repair processes, due to its capability to accelerate angiogenesis and relieve inflammation. This study investigated the effect of red and blue light on the survival of random skin flaps in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-infected Sprague Dawley (SD) rats.

We report the rapid synthesis of primary amides by directly using commercially available ammonia borane (NH·BH), sodium hexamethyldisilazide (NaHMDS), and esters. The success of this protocol relies on NH·BH as the nitrogen source being considerably more convenient and NaHMDS being an excellent proton abstractor but not participating in the nucleophilic addition reaction. The reaction had a wide substrate scope containing bioactive molecules, and most of the substrates were efficiently amidated over 90% yields.

A novel and efficient method for the intermolecular hydroxysulfonylation of vinylarenes using sodium sulfinates has been achieved through aerobic copper catalysis. This transformation proceeded smoothly with green air as the terminal oxidant in the presence of Cu (I)/1,10-phenanthroline as an efficient catalytic system, leading to an array of β-hydroxysulfones in moderate to high yields. The significant advantages of this protocol are the mild reaction conditions, readily available starting materials, good functional-group compatibility, synthetic convenience, and practicability.

Objective: To observe how cognitive behavioral intervention affects physical symptoms, B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP), Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW), and C-reactive Protein (CRP) in elderly patients with heart failure.
Methods: Convenient sampling method was used to select 98 elderly heart failure patients who visited our hospital from January 2022 to December 2020. Patients were divided into a control group and an observation group using the red and blue ball method, with 49 cases in each group.
