Two series of strontium titanates doped with Ni, Co, or Cu with general formula of SrTiMeO for Sr-stoichiometric and SrTiMeO for Sr-non-stoichiometric materials (where Me = Ni, Co or Cu and x were 0.02 and 0.06) were obtained by the wet chemical method. The samples were calcinated at 900, 950, and 1050 °C and characterized in terms of their structural properties (XRD), the possibility of undergoing the reduction and oxidation reactions (TPR/TPOx), and catalytic properties. All obtained materials were multiphase and although the XRD analysis does not confirm the presence of Ni, Co, and Cu oxides (with one exception for Cu-doped sample), the TPR/TPOx profiles show reduction peaks that can be attributed to the reduction of these oxides which may at first appear in an amorphous form. Catalytic tests in dry reforming of methane reaction showed that the highest catalytic activity was achieved for Ni-doped materials (up to 90% of CH conversion) while Co and Cu-doped samples showed only a very slight catalytic effect. Additionally, the decrease in methane conversion with an increasing calcination temperature was observed for Ni-doped strontium titanates.

In the majority of aerosol drug deposition modelling efforts, the particles are approximated by regular spheres. However, microscope images acquired after drug formulation available in the open literature suggest that their shape is not regular in most cases. This work aimed to combine experimental measurements and numerical simulations to reveal the shape factors of the particles of commercialized aerosol drugs and the effect of non-sphericity on the lung deposition distribution of these drugs.

Solar-driven dry reforming of methane (DRM) offers a milder, more cost-effective, and promising environmentally friendly pathway compared to traditional thermal catalytic DRM. Numerous studies have extensively investigated inexpensive Ni-based catalysts for application in solar-driven DRM. However, these catalysts often suffer from activity loss due to carbon accumulation.

The aim of this study was to analyse the effect of breathing parameters, age, gender and disease status on the lung doses of the two ICS + LABA fixed combination dry powder drugs. Breathing parameters of 113 COPD patients were measured while inhaling through emptied NEXThaler® and Ellipta® inhalers and the corresponding lung doses were calculated. Lung dose of Foster® NEXThaler® was superior to the lung dose of Relvar® Ellipta® in around 85 % of the patients.

Free-standing bimetallic Co/Ni-MOF foams toward enhanced methane dry reforming under non-thermal plasma catalysis.

Understanding of the structure and interfacial merits that reactive metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) undergo is critical for constructing efficient catalysts for non-thermal plasma-assisted conversion of greenhouse gases. Herein, we proposed a free-standing bimetallic (Co/Ni) MOFs supported on bacterial cellulose (BC) foams (Co/Ni-MOF@BC) toward the coaxial dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma-catalytic system, of which the Co/Ni ions coordination demonstrated an intriguing textual uplifting of the malleable BC nanofiber network with abundant pores up to micrometer-scale, which could impart a more intensive predominant filamentary microdischarge current to 180 mA with stronger plasma-catalytic interaction. Remarkably, compared to the monometallic MOF@BC foams, this bimetallic Co/Ni-MOF@BC also delivered a substantially improved alkaline absorption ability as further confirmed by the CO- temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) result.
