Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) plays an important role in an inflammatory cytokine storm. Over-secretion of TNF by the host in response to infection aggravates the disease. TNF expression level is positively correlated with the mortality caused by some bacterial infections. Therefore, using TNF antibody may alleviate the inflammation to resist bacterial infections. The function of fish TNF-b antibody in bacterial infection is still unclear. In this study, infection models of FJ03-X2 strain with high pathogenicity and strong virulence were established in zebrafish () fibroblast cell line (ZF4 cells) and zebrafish. Zebrafish () gene was cloned and expressed by BL21 (DE3), and Zetnf-b polyclonal antibody was prepared. Pre-injection of Zetnf-b polyclonal antibody and AG-126 before infecting with could increase the survival rate of zebrafish by 36.6 and 46.7%, respectively. Pre-injection of Zetnf-b polyclonal antibody could effectively decrease the mortality of zebrafish infected by . Thus, TNF polyclonal antibody therapy could be considered as an effective strategy to control in fish.

HIV causes intense polyclonal activation of B cells, resulting in increased numbers of spontaneously antibody-secreting cells in the circulation and hypergammaglobulinemia. It is accompanied by significant perturbations in various B cell subsets, such as increased frequencies of immature/transitional B cells, activated memory B cells, atypical memory B cells, short-lived plasmablasts and regulatory B cells, as well as by decreased frequencies of resting memory and resting naïve B cells. Furthermore, both memory and antigen-inexperienced naïve B cells show exhausted and immune-senescent phenotypes.

Feline injection-site sarcomas (FISSs) are malignant skin tumors of mesenchymal origin arising at local post-vaccination (or injection) sites. In recent years, a fluorescence imaging technique based on probes targeting αβ integrin has been effectively applied for the surgical complete resection of the tumor. In our study, we investigated the utility of a commercially available anti-α integrin polyclonal antibody for the histopathological evaluation of FISS's surgical excision margins.

Unlabelled: How changes in the quality of anti-viral antibody (Ab) responses due to pre-existing or acquired CD4 T cell insufficiency affect virus evolution during persistent infection are unknown. Using mouse polyomavirus (MuPyV), we found that CD4 T cell depletion before infection results in short-lived plasma cells secreting low-avidity antiviral IgG with limited BCR diversity and weak virus-neutralizing ability. CD4 T cell deficiency during persistent infection incurs a shift from a T-dependent (TD) to T-independent (TI) Ab response, resembling the pre-existing TI Ab response.

BK polyomavirus (BKV) causes polyomavirus-associated nephropathy (PyVAN) and polyomavirus-associated hemorrhagic cystitis (PyVHC) following kidney transplantation and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HST). BKV strains fall into four distinct genotypes (BKV-I, -II, -III, and -IV) with more than 80% of individuals are seropositive against BKV-I genotype, while the seroprevalence of the other four genotypes is lower. PyVAN and PyVHC occurs in immunosuppressed (e.
