Two organic hybrid manganese selenoarsenates, [Mn(en)][MnAsSe] (; en = ethanediamine) and {[Mn(atep)][Mn(tepa)](AsSe)} [; atep = 4-(2-aminoethyl)triethylenetetramine], were made under mild solvothermal conditions. is a new type of one-dimensional low-valent selenoarsenate(II) constructed by the linkages of tetrahedral [MnSe] units and two manners of bridging of [AsSe] anions. comprises a neutral {[Mn(atep)][Mn(tepa)](AsSe)} molecule with a rare seven-coordinated manganese center, which represents the sole example of an organic hybrid selenoarsenate with the [Mn(tepa)] complex as the bridging group. Both and exhibit special photocurrent responses upon visible-light illumination and magnetic properties.

The hybrid magnetic heterostructures and superlattices, composed of organic and inorganic materials, have shown great potential for quantum computing and next-generation information technology. Organic materials generally possess designable structural motifs and versatile optical, electronic, and magnetic properties, but are too delicate for robust integration into solid-state devices. In contrast, inorganic systems provide robust solid-state interface and excellent electronic properties but with limited customization space.

Advanced cortisol detection: A cMWCNTs-enhanced MB@Zr-MOF ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor.

Bioelectrochemistry

School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Capital Medical University, Beijing 100069, China; Laboratory for Clinical Medicine, Capital Medical University, Beijing 100069, China. Electronic address:

A ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor was developed for ultra-sensitive detection of cortisol using aptamer (Apt) as recognition element, methylene blue (MB) as signal probe, and zirconium metal-organic framework (Zr-MOF) as carrier loaded with abundant MB for signal amplification. The carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (cMWCNTs)-modified Au electrode showed excellent electrochemical performance to immobilize complementary DNA (cDNA) for hybridizing with MB@Zr-MOF-Apt via amide bonds. In the presence of cortisol, it would compete with cDNA for binding the Apt, resulting in the detachment of MB@Zr-MOF-Apt complex from the electrode surface, and the electrochemical signal of MB was decreased, while that of [Fe(CN)] was basically unchanged.

Lithium (Li) metal's extremely high specific energy and low potential make it critical for high-performance batteries. However, uncontrolled dendrite growth and an unstable solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) during repeated cycling still seriously hinder its practical application in Li metal batteries. Herein, we demonstrate a facile and effective approach to fabricate a flexible and robust hybrid SEI layer using two kinds of organo-polysulfides with different sulfur chain lengths [bis(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)disulfide (Si-O-2S) and bis(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)tetrasulfide (Si-O-4S)] as the additives in the electrolyte.

An aqueous zinc-ion battery with an organic-inorganic nanohybrid cathode featuring high operating voltage and long-term stability.

Cathode materials with both high capacity and high operating voltage are essential for advancing aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs). Conventional high-capacity materials, such as vanadium-based compounds, typically deliver low discharge voltages. In contrast, organic cathodes show high operating voltages but often exhibit limited capacity.

Controlled Self-assembly of Nanographdiynes Mediated by Molecular Dipoles Induced by Rotatory Asymmetric Substituents.

The discrete π- stacks of specific lengths and orientation is crucial for understanding the impact of intermolecular interactions on optical or electronic properties of nanographdiynes. We designed and synthesized nanographdiynes modified with bulky rotatable asymmetric substituents. The peripheral substituents with different push-pull electronic properties can induce molecular dipoles perpendicular to nanoGDY π surface with different orientation.
