Neurotrophic keratitis (NK) may occur secondary to pars plana vitrectomy (PPV). A subset of patients with very severe NK corneal defects may require therapy escalation, and Cenegermin-Bkbj, a recombinant human nerve growth factor, represents a novel treatment option. This case report presents the successful treatment of refractory NK using Cenegermin-Bkbj in a patient after undergoing multiple PPV surgeries.

Background And Objective: While anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapy has revolutionized treatment for diabetic macular edema, many patients still manifest refractory disease. This study evaluated rates of diabetic macular edema (DME) refractory to intravitreal bevacizumab in a diverse real-world setting, with the aim of studying demographic and optical coherence tomography (OCT)-based morphological factors associated with refractory disease.
Patients And Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study of patients receiving treatment.

Background: Glioblastoma (GBM) is largely refractory to antibodies against programmed cell death 1 (anti-PD-1) therapy. Fully understanding the cellular heterogeneity and immune adaptations in response to anti-PD-1 therapy is necessary to design more effective immunotherapies for GBM. This study aimed to dissect the molecular mechanisms of specific immunosuppressive subpopulations to drive anti-PD-1 resistance in GBM.

Introduction: Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is one of the rarest forms of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that mainly affects adults around 65 years of age or older, and is diagnosed when the disease has already reached a fairly advanced stage. Partly for this reason, but mainly because of the very characteristics of this rare form of lymphoma, the prognosis is often poor. In most cases, the disease recurs after a period of remission achieved with I-line.
