Nutritional deficiencies are one of the main triggers for the development of gastrointestinal diseases, such as ulcerative colitis (UC). Therefore, the objective of the present work consisted of determining the nutrients present in the bone broth (BB) and evaluating their anti-inflammatory properties in a murine model of UC, induced by intrarectal administration of 2, 4, 6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS), and acetic acid (AcOH). The BB was prepared from the femur of bovine cattle and cooked in distilled water for 8 h at 100 ± 2 °C. The BB was administered ad libitum to BALB/c mice for 10 days before the induction of UC. Colon samples were collected for histological analysis and determination of cytokine expression levels by qPCR. It was found that amino acids (AA) are the main nutritional contribution of BB, 54.56% of these correspond to essential AA. The prophylactic administration of BB in the murine model of UC reduced histological damage, decreased the expression of (61.12%), (94.70%), and (68.88%), and increased the expression of (177.06%), (541.36%), and (531.97%). This study shows that BB has anti-inflammatory properties, and its consumption can decrease the symptoms of UC.

Stemness-associated cell states are linked to chemotherapy resistance in AML. We uncovered a direct mechanistic link between expression of the stem cell transcription factor GATA2 and drug resistance. The GATA-binding protein 2 (GATA2) plays a central role in blood stem cell generation and maintenance.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as pivotal regulatory molecules in cancer biology. Among these, long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 02418 (LINC02418), a recently identified lncRNA, has been linked to endometrial cancer (EC), although its function and operational mechanisms are largely unclear. The present investigation aims to elucidate the molecular mechanism through which LINC02418 influences EC pathogenesis.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) often leads to impaired regulation of cerebral blood flow, which may be caused by pathological changes of the vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in the arterial wall. Moreover, these cerebrovascular changes may contribute to the development of various neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's-like pathologies that include amyloid beta aggregation. Despite its importance, the pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for VSMC dysfunction after TBI have rarely been evaluated.

Monoclonal antibodies are extensively used as biotherapeutics for treatment of a variety of diseases. Glycosylation of therapeutic antibodies is considered a critical quality attribute as it influences the effector function, circulatory half-life, immunogenicity, and eventually efficacy and patient safety. During upstream process development, media components play a significant role in determining the glycosylation profile.
